The infinet is a wireless solution for the home and small office which combines the speed of ADSL with the mobility of cellular. This unique technology delivered on a Kyocera platform enable the customer to have access to internet at home and office with the same connection once both places are within the coverage area.

Modems

The equipment the client needs to purchase for this connection can be one of the three depending on the tests which will be run by the sales person. It can either be the

  • UTC which is the same size as the PCMCIA card and is slot in the PC in place of the PCMCIA card
  • UTU which is the size of a PC mouse (or match box) is connected through the USB port
  • UTD is the most robust of all the modems and is recommended for clients in areas of low signal. It can either be connected through the USB or Ethernet port.

Packages

They come in three packages-

Infinet Pro-This is where the customer is provided with a 256kbps shared internet access and it is tailored for customers who need high bandwidth for downloads. It comes with 10 free e-mail boxes and when the customer has a router can connect up to 3 PCs. Clients with wireless routers can create a hotspot at home so the family can have multiple access to the internet.

Infinet Classic- Here the customer is provided with a 128 kbps shared access and is designed for a single user. It comes with 5 free email boxes.

Infinet Lite-This product is for customers who have access to the internet in the office or schools and only need the internet in the evenings after work from 7pm-7am on weekdays, 24 hours from Friday 7pm to Monday 7am and on public holidays.
